"Let's talk about sex" should be the theme for the christian right ( I used lower case to emphasize that these people are neither Christian nor correct) because they are obsessed with it. With all the problems in the state of Arkansas, all the so called conservatives want to talk about is gay sex and the harm it does to them and to children. We have not one but two wars that we are in the process of losing, I paid $3.60 for diesel the other day, Arkansas is hemorrhaging good jobs, Real dollar salaries are at a 50 year low for the state, we are at or near the bottom in most measurable education standards, civil liberties are fast becoming a thing of the past, we have a congress that does nothing for real working people and a president that can't even spell work, yet all these fearmongers want to talk about is how gay couples adopting unwanted children is threatening the very fabric of our society! Who really cares about this issue? Except maybe the unwanted kids that are going to be screwed once again by the religious zealots. If these people really cared about these kids they would be lined up right now trying to adopt several of them. Instead, what they are doing for these kids is using them as political pawns for their own selfish and greedy power play. I am sick and tired of the self riotousness of these so-called Christians and I am daring to put it down in print. I am saying come after me and come after my party because when the real history is written, these folks will be on the wrong side just like they were in the 60's. I keep hearing the argument that the repubs in Arkansas are consistent on the issues. If I have learned anything in this world it is that consistency doesn't mean shit if you are consistently WRONG. I really would like to know where the hatred comes from in these people because this issue of gay couples adopting children does not affect them in the least. As I have stated, they DON'T CARE about these kids all they care about is gay bashing, in whatever arena they can. These Christofacists should keep in mind that history never smiles on bigotry. For all of you people that are on the fence just remember, the man that waves the flag the hardest is usually the traitor....

Rob, you really are a socialist hater of Christians. All you do is just fire up the Christian conservative base of the Republican party to keep people like you out of office. The Democratic party has no values to speak of and they sure don't have any ideas to speak of as to how to keep the country moving forward. The real threat to them, they think is George Bush and the Christian right (who, by the way, ARE both). They can't be trusted to protect the country from another terrorist attack. Face it, Rob, your party is void of any substance, morals, or ideas.

socialism, much like laise-faire capitalism, on its own merits is a horrible system but we here in America have blended the two systems quite nicely. The problem is when one fringe group from the right or the left gains complete power and tries to wipe out the blended effect that we used to enjoy for much of our 230 years. As for being a hater of Christians, I am not. What I am a hater of is extremists in ANY religion, you know plenty of these fake Christians, like yourself anon, that go to church every time the doors are open but focus solely on the old testament's parables instead of the RED words. Judging other people is like a sport to these cretins and I believe there is a special place in hell reserved for the likes of Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, and the James Dobsons of the world. Now, as for Democrats not having any values, I beg to differ. While you choose to focus on things like a woman's right to choose, you forget that we believe in forgiveness, compassion, helping your fellow man, you might remember that those are some of the things that Jesus taught among many others. As for not being able to trust Democrats to protect us (however poorly worded your sentence-I got the point), safety is an illusion. You are not now nor have you ever been safe from terrorists or any other random event that you might stumble upon. Big Brother cannot protect you from the bad men in the world. You have bought in to the illusion of safety and when you grow up you will find out that you are never and will never be safe. That being said, the last men to actually win wars against terrorist for this country were all Democrats. Franklin D. Roosevelt did a fine job of snuffing out Fascism, although it has recently reared its ugly head of late in the form of the so-called neo-conservative. Bill Clinton, with the help of Arkansas' own General Wesley Clark won the war in the Balkans without losing one of our boys. As for ideas to win these two wars that we are bogged down in right now, if your president would have listened to his Army Chief of Staff at the outset we would have dropped 500,000 men into Iraq and our boys would have been home by now. With all of the mistakes that have been made by Bush, I fear that this war is now unwinable. Maybe you should put down the old testament occassionally and pick up a history book because a wise man once said "Those who do not know history, are doomed to repeat it." Why do you continue to follow the fool hardy "leadership" of men and a party that have been so wrong for so long. Your sheep like tendencies are borderline treasonous.

When will the religious right understand that the Republican party and this administration don't give a shit about the average man (Christian, Jew, Crackhead, Wookie), etc...all they care about is tax breaks for their rich buddies, and warmongering!
